Cambodian Tourism Minister to Attend ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025 and Related Meetings in Malaysia

Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak will lead a delegation to attend the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025, the 28th ASEAN Tourism Ministers Meeting, and related meetings in Johor, Malaysia from Jan. 17 to 21.
The ASEAN Tourism Forum 2025 is held under the theme "Unity in Motion Shaping ASEAN's Tourism Tomorrow", with the participation of tourism ministers from ASEAN member countries, China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, Russia, and several key ASEAN partner institutions, the Ministry of Tourism announced this afternoon.
At the ASEAN Tourism Forum, H.E. Minister will participate in the 28th ASEAN Tourism Ministers' Meeting, the 24th ASEAN Plus Three Tourism Ministers Meeting (China, Japan, and Korea), the 12th ASEAN-India Tourism Ministers Meeting, and the 4th ASEAN-Russia Tourism Ministers Meeting, the source pointed out.
These meetings will review progress, set future directions, and adopt several key documents aimed at achieving the ASEAN Tourism Vision: "By 2025, ASEAN will be a quality tourism destination offering a unique, diverse ASEAN experience, and will be committed to responsible, sustainable, inclusive and balanced tourism development, so as to contribute significantly to the socio-economic well-being of ASEAN people," it added.

According to the ministry, on the occasion of participating in the above events. H.E. Huot Hak will also hold bilateral meetings with tourism ministers and leaders from ASEAN Member States, as well as with representatives from a number of international organisations, entities associated with ASEAN and other external parties, aiming to strengthen cooperation and promote greater tourist flows to Cambodia.
Furthermore, it continued, Cambodia will receive 4 types of ASEAN tourism awards, including: 5 ASEAN Homestay Awards, 5 ASEAN Community-Based Tourism Awards, 5 ASEAN Public Toilet Awards, and 5 ASEAN Spa Services Awards from ASEAN.
Besides, the Ministry of Tourism will also lead the private operators to participate in the International Travel Expo (TRAVEX expected to attract 750 delegates, including 100 media representatives, booths, 200 seller companies, and 300 buyer companies.
