The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Capital-Provincial Investment Sub-Committees registered a total of 36 investment projects worth approximately US$470 million in September 2026, according to a CDC press release.
The projects are expected to create approximately 17,000 jobs for Cambodian people.
Of the total, 23 investment projects were registered by the CDC, with a combined investment capital of approximately US$435 million and the potential to generate around 11,000 jobs.
Meanwhile, the Capital-Provincial Investment Sub-Committees registered 13 projects worth approximately US$35 million, which are expected to create around 6,000 jobs.
Among the major projects are two solar power plants to be developed in Krakor district, Pursat province, with capacities of 350 megawatts and 30 megawatts and investment capital of US$225 million and US$33 million, respectively.
By sector, investment capital was allocated mainly to infrastructure and other sectors, totalling approximately US$258 million, followed by industry with around US$172 million, agriculture and agro-industry with approximately US$29 million, and tourism with US$11 million.
Domestic investors accounted for the largest share of investment capital, at 57.80 percent, followed by China at 28.66 percent and Malaysia at 6.52 percent. Other sources of investment included Viet Nam, the Republic of Korea and Japan.
The CDC noted that during the first nine months of 2026, Cambodia continued to attract quality investment projects. This trend reflects the continued resilience of Cambodia’s investment climate and investors’ confidence in the Royal Government’s efforts to further promote business activities and investment.
