Minister of Post and Telecommunications H.E. Chea Vandeth on Thursday met with around 1,700 retirees and military veterans in Tram Kak district, Takeo province, to express gratitude for their lifelong service and reassure them of the Royal Government’s continued social support.

H.E. Chea Vandeth, who serves as Honorary President of the Cambodian Veterans & Pensioners Association in Takeo and Head of the Royal Government Working Group for the province, conveyed warm greetings on behalf of Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. He emphasised that both leaders remain deeply attentive to the well-being of former civil servants and military personnel.

During the gathering, the Minister extended his sincere appreciation to the veterans and retirees for building the foundational achievements across various sectors that benefit the country today. He stressed the importance of protecting and expanding these accomplishments for future generations.

H.E. Chea Vandeth also highlighted the nation's ongoing socioeconomic development, particularly key infrastructure advancements including public roads, bridges, schools, and healthcare facilities that continue to improve daily livelihoods and economic opportunities nationwide.

Reaffirming the Royal Government’s long-term commitment, H.E. Minister outlined key benefits provided to retirees and veterans, such as regular pension payments, social land concessions, healthcare services, and housing assistance under the current administration.

Before concluding the event, he opened the floor to gather local requests and concerns, assuring attendees that the national working group would address them promptly.
