The upcoming “Village de la Francophonie,” a side event of the 20th Francophonie Summit, will feature a diverse range of cultural, artistic, educational, institutional and culinary activities, offering participants an opportunity to experience the richness and diversity of the Francophone community.

According to a recent announcement from the Ministry of Tourism, the event will comprise five main components, including national pavilions of member states of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF), daily cultural and artistic performances, conferences and seminars, a general exhibition area and a Francophone Gastronomy Village.

The national pavilion area will provide OIF member states with dedicated spaces to showcase their countries, while daily cultural and artistic performances will be coordinated by the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts with participation from OIF member states.

The programme will also include conferences and seminars involving ministries, public institutions, OIF member states and other relevant organisations, providing opportunities for discussions and exchanges on various areas of cooperation.

A general exhibition area will feature approximately 100 booths for public institutions, private-sector companies, national and international organisations, development partners and other participating stakeholders.

The Francophone Gastronomy Village will offer visitors an opportunity to discover Khmer cuisine alongside culinary specialties from OIF member states, complemented by a range of related activities.

The Village de la Francophonie will be held at Wat Botum Vatey Garden from Nov. 13 to 17 under the theme “The Khmer Smile will be the Smile of Francophonie,” highlighting Cambodia’s culture, tourism and education.

Meanwhile, FrancoTech, another major side event of the Francophonie Summit, will focus on business, technology, research and innovation under the theme “One Francophone Community, One Digital Future.”

FrancoTech will take place from Nov. 14 to 16 at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre, Halls A-F, providing a platform to highlight developments and opportunities in the digital and innovation sectors within the Francophone community.

Cambodia is going to host the 20th Francophonie Summit and the 48th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie from Nov. 14 to 16, 2026 in Phnom Penh.
