Cambodia, Malaysia Enhance Healthcare Cooperation

Cambodia and Malaysia have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen healthcare cooperation between the two nations.
The commitment was made in a meeting between H.E. Sung Vinntak, Secretary of State at the Cambodian Ministry of Health, and H.E. Shaharuddin Onn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to Cambodia, held here on Feb. 2.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the General Directorate for Health, the General Secretariat, the Department of Human Resource Development, the Department of International Cooperation, and relevant technical officers from the Ministry of Health.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on future directions for healthcare collaboration.
Key areas of focus include the exchange of expertise, human resource training, technical support, and the promotion of collaborative activities aimed at enhancing healthcare quality and the well-being of people in both nations, the region, and the world.
Both parties expressed their mutual goal to maintain strong bilateral relations and achieve tangible progress in developing Cambodia’s health sector.
