The Commercial Attaché of the Royal Embassy of Cambodia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, in collaboration with the Khmer Social Development Association, organised on Feb. 1 the Trade Connection aimed to bridge the gap between Cambodian processed food producers and lucrative international markets.
Held at the Khmer Association Market in Phnom Penh, the Trade Connection meeting was held with participations from Cambodian processed food producers and exporters with an aim to boost exports to international markets, particularly the United States and French markets.
The meeting was organised with the primary objective of enhancing the capacity and competitiveness of Cambodian processed food products in international markets.
Special emphasis was placed on improving product quality to meet international standards and market requirements, thereby preparing producers for export and for expansion into new markets, especially the United States and France.
Additionally, the meeting aimed to strengthen business-to-business (B2B) linkages between producers and trading partners in order to create new opportunities for exporting Cambodian products to international markets.
The meeting also served as a platform to present and promote Cambodia’s trade policies, incentive measures, and export standards, which are designed to support and encourage the sustainable growth of the private sector.
