CDC Approves 630 Investment Projects Worth Nearly US$10 Billion in 2025
AKP Phnom Penh, January 05, 2026 -- The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) registered 630 investment projects in 2025 with a combined capital of nearly US$10 billion, according to its press release issued on Monday.
The projects, approved by the CDC’s Cambodian Investment Board, are expected to create around 438,000 jobs nationwide. Of the total, 387 projects are located outside Special Economic Zones (SEZs), while 243 are within SEZs.
Compared with 2024, the number of registered projects increased by 52 percent or 216 projects, while total investment capital rose by 45 percent or US$3 billion, marking another record year for investment approvals.
Major projects include large-scale agricultural and agro-processing investments, the Funan Techo Canal project, hydropower, solar and wind energy developments, healthcare facilities, dry ports, and manufacturing plants, including automobile tire and medical equipment factories.
In addition, 228 industrial projects approved by capital-provincial investment sub-committees attracted about US$763 million in investment and are expected to create approximately 106,000 jobs, with most funding coming from China, alongside domestic and other foreign investors.
