Interim Observer Team Conducts Another Visit to Banteay Meanchey Province

The Interim Observer Team (IOT) is conducting another official visit to Banteay Meanchey province this morning to observe, verify, and report on the latest situation in the area.
The update was shared by H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Under Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defence, at a press briefing at 7:00 a.m. today.
The IOT, which comprises representatives from five countries—Malaysia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, the Philippines, and Vietnam—is led by Colonel Nazlee bin Abdul Rahim, Defence Attaché of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Cambodia, she underlined.
At the same time, she added, the Secretariat Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC) between Cambodia’s Military Region 4 and Thailand’s Army Area 2 is being held in accordance with the agenda agreed upon by both parties.
The meeting serves as preparation for the RBC Meeting scheduled for Aug. 27, 2025, pointed out the spokesperson.
