National Road 3 Construction is 90 Percent Complete
AKP Phnom Penh, January 04, 2021 --
The construction of the strategic National Road No. 3 has achieved up to 90 percent as of January and is expected to be completed by September 2021.
The update was shared this morning by Senior Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol while leading a delegation to inspect the road quality and construction progress, stressing that the construction project will be completed a year earlier thanks to the good cooperation between concerned parties and efforts of the construction companies.
The important route links Chom Chao in Phnom Penh capital to the coastal Kampot province – the line that will vitally support tourism, economy and transport when done.
Started in May 2018, the construction project covers the road length of 134.8 kilometres and could cost about US$200 million from the government budget and a loan from the Government of China.
