AKP Phnom Penh, October 22, 2026 -- Cambodia has sought support from the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) for the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology to strengthen agrometeorological networks and early warning systems, mobilise key resources, and develop local human capacity to ensure sustainable, high-quality public services.
The request was made by H.E. Thor Chetha, Cambodian Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, during a meeting with Ms. Rebekah Bell, FAO Representative to Cambodia, and her colleagues at the Ministry on Oct. 22.
H.E. Minister expressed a warm welcome and pleasure regarding current cooperation with FAO, affirming a commitment to further strengthen collaboration in the future.
H.E.
