IM Capital Holding Pledges to Strengthen Cambodia-Poland Private Sector Ties
AKP Phnom Penh, October 19, 2026 --
IM Capital Holding has pledged to promote stronger connections between the private sectors of Cambodia and Poland, including through the proposed organisation of a Cambodia-Poland Business Forum and the establishment of a Cambodia-Poland Chamber of Commerce.
The commitment was highlighted during a meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Ms. Iwona Kmiecik, Founder and CEO of IM Capital Holding, and her colleagues at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh on Oct. 19.
During the meeting, Ms. Kmiecik thanked the Royal Government of Cambodia and relevant ministries and institutions for their continued support and encouragement of investment, which she said had helped the company’s business operations and projects proceed smoothly, achieve success and continue to grow.
She noted that peace and political stability in Cambodia, as essential conditions for investment, had strengthened the confidence of foreign investors and international businesses. She also outlined the company’s plans to expand its investments in the hospitality and real estate sectors, including into other major tourist destinations across Cambodia.
In view of growing interest among Polish companies and enterprises in the Cambodian market, Ms. Kmiecik sought support from relevant Cambodian ministries and institutions for initiatives to organise a Cambodia-Poland Business Forum and establish a Cambodia-Poland Chamber of Commerce. These initiatives aim to strengthen and deepen connections between the private sectors of the two countries.
In response, Samdech Thipadei highly appreciated Ms. Kmiecik’s efforts to strengthen people-to-people ties between Cambodia and Poland through tourism promotion and business connectivity.
The Prime Minister highlighted Cambodia’s diverse tourism potential and the Royal Government’s supportive policies and incentives, including the digitalisation of tourism and immigration services. These initiatives include the introduction of the electronic visa (e-Visa) system and Smart Gates at Cambodia’s international airports, which facilitate travel and create favourable conditions for tourism investment.
He also encouraged the company to explore opportunities to develop diverse and comprehensive tourism packages that would take visitors beyond the islands and coastal areas to Cambodia’s cultural tourism destinations and ecotourism sites, as the Royal Government continues to promote the country’s rich tourism offerings to the world.
Concluding the meeting, Samdech Thipadei welcomed the planned visit of a Polish business delegation to Cambodia in the near future. He encouraged IM Capital Holding to continue working closely with relevant Cambodian institutions, particularly the Council for the Development of
Cambodia, the Ministry of Tourism and the Cambodia Tourism Board, to discuss the proposed plans and initiatives in greater detail, translate them into concrete actions and ensure the company’s long-term success.
