Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sèn, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Sonexay Siphandone on his election as President of the National Assembly of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR).

In his congratulatory letter dated Oct. 5, Samdech Techo Hun Sèn expressed his confidence that H.E. Sonexay Siphandone’s accession to the esteemed office reflects the confidence and trust placed in his leadership by his colleagues and the people of the Lao PDR.

He was confident that under H.E. Sonexay Siphandone’s leadership, the Lao National Assembly will achieve greater institutional development and legislative effectiveness, fulfil its core mission and contribute to the achievement of the Lao PDR’s national development goals.

Samdech Techo also expressed his firm conviction that the longstanding relations between Cambodia and Laos will continue to flourish, based on mutual respect, shared values and a steadfast commitment to bilateral cooperation.

He looked forward to working closely with H.E. Sonexay Siphandone to further elevate cooperation between the two legislative bodies and the two countries, particularly in pursuit of their shared aspirations for peace, stability and prosperity for both peoples and the region.

Samdech Hun Sen concluded by extending his best wishes to H.E. Sonexay Siphandone for continued good health, happiness and success in his noble tasks, as well as for greater well-being and prosperity of the Lao people.
