Cambodian Red Cross Pledges US$100,000 for Nepal Flood Disaster Relief
AKP Phnom Penh, September 4, 2026 -- Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC), today pledged US$100,000 in humanitarian aid to the Nepal Red Cross Society following an emergency appeal by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
The contribution supports emergency relief operations along the Nepal-China border, where devastating flash floods on Aug. 26 killed more than 1,000 people, left thousands missing, displaced over 10,000 residents, and severely damaged critical infrastructure.
Expressing deep condolences to the victims and their families, Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany extended wishes for a swift recovery and successful reconstruction efforts across the affected region.
