AKP Phnom Penh, August 26, 2026 --

The Korean Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (KOCHAM) has pledged to deepen cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, aiming to strengthen cross-border collaboration to promote business-to-business (B2B) networking.

The commitment was made during a working meeting held in Ho Chi Minh City, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, between Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and a delegation from KOCHAM, led by Chairman Kim Nyoun Ho, on Aug. 25.

The KOCHAM delegation expressed its sincere appreciation to the Minister for receiving them and providing the opportunity to present new initiatives to expand the business activities of KOCHAM members in Cambodia.

On this occasion, KOCHAM highlighted its strong interest in Cambodia’s tourism potential and reaffirmed its readiness to organise an official visit to Cambodia in the near future to explore the country’s tourism and investment opportunities firsthand.

For his part, H.E. Minister highly appreciated and thanked the Chairman and members of KOCHAM for recognising Cambodia as a safe tourism destination with tremendous potential for business expansion and investment.

He noted that Cambodia is emerging as a "rising diamond" with abundant opportunities for investors and emphasised that the tourism sector receives strong support and incentives from the Royal Government of Cambodia. Tourism has been identified as a key pillar of the national economy under the wise and visionary leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

Through this productive meeting, both sides reached a common understanding to strengthen tourism cooperation between KOCHAM, the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia, and Cambodia’s private sector.

The cooperation will focus on promoting Cambodia’s tourism potential and investment opportunities to KOCHAM members, facilitating business-to-business (B2B) networking between enterprises of both countries, and organising a familiarisation visit to Cambodia’s key destinations with high tourism and investment potential in the near future.
