Global innovation platform Plug and Play has invested in konektAgri, making it the second Cambodian startup to receive funding through the Innovate Cambodia Accelerator Programme, following Bamnang.

The investment, announced on June 19, reflects the programme's success in helping Cambodian startups attract international investment while contributing to the growth of the Kingdom's digital startup ecosystem.

According to the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, konektAgri has developed agriKredit™, an advanced credit assessment and risk management platform designed for the agricultural sector. The platform combines financial and agricultural data – including satellite imagery, weather information, farmland location data, and an electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) verification system – to help financial institutions make more accurate and efficient lending decisions.

Nithyasri Manikandan, Senior Investment Manager at Plug and Play, said konektAgri is building the data infrastructure and risk assessment capabilities needed to meet the evolving demands of agricultural finance in emerging markets.
