Cambodian PM to Visit China for High-Level Bilateral Talks and World AI Conference
AKP Phnom Penh, July 13, 2026—
Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet will lead a high-level delegation on an official working visit to the People's Republic of China from July 15 to 17, 2026, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The three-day visit aims to inject fresh momentum into the Cambodia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, advance the "Diamond Cooperation Framework," and promote the building of a Cambodia-China Community with a Shared Future in the New Era.
Prime Minister Hun Manet is scheduled to call on Chinese President Xi Jinping and hold a bilateral meeting with Premier Li Qiang to discuss deepening enduring friendships and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation.
At the invitation of the Chinese government, the Prime Minister will attend and deliver a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the conference in Shanghai on July 17. This year's event is themed "AI Partnership for a Brighter Future."
The Prime Minister will meet with prominent representatives of the Chinese business community to foster trade and investment opportunities.
The Prime Minister will be accompanied by a robust delegation of senior Royal Government officials and private sector leaders, including: H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-Chairman of the Council for the Development of Cambodia; H.E. Tea Seiha, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence:; as well as other ministers, senior officials, and key representatives of the Cambodian business community.
