Cambodia, Japan Sign US$2.8 Million Grant Agreement for Human Resource Development Scholarship Project

Cambodia and Japan on Wednesday signed an Exchange of Notes and accompanying documents on a Japanese grant aid worth 416 million Japanese yen (approximately US$2.8 million) to support the implementation of the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship.
The documents were signed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn and Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Ueno Atsushi.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, under the grant aid, young Cambodian government officials will be provided with opportunities to pursue graduate studies at prestigious universities in Japan, contributing to the development of Cambodia's human resources.
The assistance clearly reflects Japan's steadfast commitment to supporting Cambodia's human resource development, fostering Cambodia's socio-economic development, it underlined.
The Ministry added that the grant will also further elevate the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
