Cambodian First Lady Appointed National President of OB-PS in Cambodia, Receives Princess Benedikte Award

Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet, First Lady of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chief Commissioner of the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia (GGAC), has been appointed as the National President of The Olave Baden-Powell Society (OB-PS) in Cambodia.
In a recent congratulatory message, Ms. Kaela Sáenz Oriti, OB-PS President, extended warm congratulations to the Cambodian First Lady on her appointment.
According to the message, the honorary role reflects the high regard in which Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet is held and recognises her longstanding commitment to the development and empowerment of young people.
The OB-PS President expressed confidence that the First Lady’s leadership and support would inspire Society members across Cambodia and further strengthen the organisation’s capacity to advance its mission.
The message also noted that the appointment marks an important milestone for the continued growth and development of the Society in Cambodia and is expected to strengthen connections between Cambodia and the wider international network of supporters committed to Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting.
Ms. Kaela Sáenz Oriti further expressed confidence that under Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet’s leadership, new opportunities for collaboration, friendship, and positive impact would be created for members in Cambodia and across the broader international movement.
Moreover, Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet was also presented with the Princess Benedikte Award, an honorary recognition bestowed by Her Royal Highness Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
The award took place during the 39th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the 42nd Annual OB-PS Gathering, held from June 14 to 19, 2026, in Siem Reap province.
