Cambodia, China Pledge Long-Term Strategic Partnership in High-Level Beijing Talks

Cambodia and China reaffirmed their enduring strategic alliance and future-oriented vision during a high-level legislative meeting in Beijing.
H.E. Dr. Thun Vathana, Second Vice President of the Cambodian Senate, held talks with H.E. Ji Bingxuan, Vice Chairman of the 13th National People’s Congress (NPC) Standing Committee and President of the Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFIU).
H.E. Ji Bingxuan conveyed formal greetings from NPC Standing Committee Chairman H.E. Zhao Leji to Cambodian Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and the President of the National Assembly Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, underscoring the fraternal relations between both legislatures.
The two sides outlined a forward-looking cooperation agenda, pledging to advance agricultural research and modernisation, food processing industry development, and cultural heritage preservation.
China also committed to accelerating restoration of Cambodia’s ancient temple sites. Additionally, both nations agreed to boost direct trade and economic linkages between China’s Gansu Province and Cambodia.
