Cambodia Hosts Foreign Military Attachés for Border Observation Tour in Pursat
AKP Phnom Penh, April 28, 2026 --
Cambodia’s Ministry of National Defence has organised the second annual observation tour of 2026 for the Military Attachés Corps in Phnom Penh (MACPP), taking foreign defence representatives to the O’Phluk Damrei area in Pursat province.
According to H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence, the visit took place on Tuesday, April 28, at 12:54 p.m.
The Ministry said the tour was arranged to allow representatives from friendly countries to directly observe conditions along the Cambodian-Thai border and monitor the implementation of the ceasefire agreement.
Cambodia said such visits help promote transparency, credibility, and accurate reporting regarding the border situation.
The Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministry of National Defence also reaffirmed their commitment to fully respect and implement the Joint Statement of the Third Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) held on Dec. 27, 2025, as well as the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand signed on Oct. 26, 2025, along with all related agreements.
The Ministry said the commitment is aimed at supporting rapid recovery, restoring normal conditions, and maintaining long-term peace and stability along the shared border of both countries.
