Massive "Art for Peace" Mural Depicts Cambodian Resilience
AKP Phnom Penh, February 27, 2026—

A massive "Art for Peace" mural being created by national and international artists in front of Botum Vattey Pagoda in Phnom Penh is approximately 50 percent complete as of Feb. 27. This monumental work, which is larger than its predecessor in Siem Reap, stands as a powerful testament to both the immeasurable suffering of Cambodian civilians caused by the recent Thai military aggression and the unwavering unity of the Cambodian people in their pursuit of lasting peace.
Launched on Feb. 20, 2026, the 5 metres by 35 metres mural project is expected to complete on Mar. 3. It will be displayed for the public until May 3, 2026.
