Prime Minister Hun Manet Praises Cambodia-Korea Joint Task Force for Progress in Combating Online Scams
AKP Phnom Penh, February14, 2026 -- Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has commended the Cambodia-Korea Joint Task Force for its significant achievements in preventing, suppressing, and combating online scams and related transnational crimes.
The Cambodian Premier made the remarks in a message posted on his social media platforms last night.
The Prime Minister also warmly welcomed a message from H.E. Lee Jae Myung, President of the Republic of Korea, which highlighted the close and effective cooperation between the two governments in addressing transnational crime, particularly online scam operations.
Expressing strong confidence in continued collaboration, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet said he believes the Joint Task Force will continue to deliver concrete and impactful results toward the complete eradication of online scams and other forms of transnational crime.
He reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s unwavering commitment to fighting, suppressing, and eradicating all forms of transnational crime, including online scams and other cyber-enabled offenses that pose threats to social security and public safety.
The Prime Minister noted that transnational crimes, especially online scams, are complex and borderless challenges that no single country can effectively address alone. He emphasised that tackling these threats requires enhanced international cooperation, information sharing, and coordinated law enforcement efforts among concerned countries.
