Vietnamese Firm Plans Construction Equipment Assembly Plant in Kampong Speu
AKP Phnom Penh, June 26, 2026 --
Vietnamese electromechanical equipment supplier Ta Thi Phat Co., Ltd. has announced plans to establish a construction machinery assembly plant in Kampong Speu province, marking a further expansion of Vietnamese industrial investment in Cambodia.
The plan was revealed by Mr. Chan Hun, Director-General of Ta Thi Phat Co., Ltd. in Cambodia, during a meeting with H.E. Cheam Chansophoan, Governor of Kampong Speu province, on June 25.
Mr. Chan Hun said the Hanoi-based company intends to expand its investment in Kampong Speu, citing the province’s peace, political stability, and strong development potential as key factors behind the decision.
In the initial phase, the company will import machinery assembled in Viet Nam to meet domestic demand in Cambodia. The second phase will involve the construction of a local assembly plant in Kampong Speu, he added.
For his part, H.E. Cheam Chansophoan welcomed the company’s investment plan and affirmed that the provincial administration would provide full support and coordination throughout the process.
He noted that the project would help create more jobs for local residents and contribute to the province’s economic development.
