Cambodia Joins Global AI Summit at 5th DCO General Assembly in Kuwait

Minister of Post and Telecommunications H.E. Chea Vandeth led a Cambodian delegation to the 5th General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organisation (DCO) on Feb. 4-5, joining leaders from 60 nations to address the future of global tech governance.
Participating as a guest nation, Cambodia contributed to high-level talks under the theme "Inclusive Prosperity in the Era of Artificial Intelligence." The assembly focused on bridging the digital divide and establishing ethical frameworks for AI integration.
At the International Digital Cooperation Forum (IDCF), Minister Vandeth joined a panel of global experts to discuss managing systemic AI risks. He emphasised the necessity of balancing technological innovation with robust safety protocols to protect national digital infrastructures.
The Minister also conducted a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kenya, and Bangladesh, as well as the DCO Secretary-General.
These talks secured commitments for: Streamlining the adoption of new digital tools; Collaborative training for digital policy experts; Mutual support in international digital advocacy forums.
