Cambodian Commerce Minister Woos French Investors in Paris Meeting

Cambodian Minister of Commerce H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul met with François Corbin, Vice President of MEDEF International, and representatives from six major French corporations on Friday to pitch the Southeast Asian nation as a prime destination for trade and investment.
The high-level talks, held in the French capital, focused on highlighting Cambodia’s evolving economic landscape and its burgeoning potential for foreign capital.
During the session, the French business delegation expressed a keen interest in expanding their operational footprint within Cambodia. Executives sought clarity on the latest updates to the Kingdom’s commercial laws and regulatory frameworks, while noting the country’s significant economic progress in recent years.
Minister Cham Nimul underscored the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to cross-sector development and emphasised that the Ministry of Commerce is actively streamlining processes to enhance the ease of doing business.
"The Ministry stands ready to facilitate trade and support international investors seeking to tap into Cambodia’s growth," the Minister noted during the exchange.
