Russian Embassy Donates Humanitarian Aid to Cambodian Displaced Families
AKP Phnom Penh, December 23, 2025 --
The Russian Embassy in Cambodia donated food and essential supplies to the Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) on Tuesday to assist families displaced by conflict along the Cambodian-Thai border.
The aid package includes two tonnes of rice, 100 cartons of drinking water, and various quantities of cooking oil, instant noodles, soy sauce and fish sauce.
Speaking at the handover ceremony at the CRC’s headquarters in Phnom Penh, Russian Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Anatoly Borovik said the donation reflects Moscow’s commitment to humanitarian support, citing similar assistance provided during regional flooding in 2020.
"This is an expression of our deep conviction that helping those in need is a universal value," H.E. Borovik said. He also expressed condolences to the families of those killed in recent border skirmishes.
H.E. Ms. Pum Chantinie, Secretary-General and High Representative of Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the CRC, said the supplies would be used to bolster ongoing relief operations for civilians affected by the border instability.
