Thai Forces Deploy Additional F-16 Fighter Jets to Pursat Province
AKP Phnom Penh, December 11, 2025--
The Ministry of National Defence has reported that Thai military forces expanded their attacks on Cambodia’s sovereignty this afternoon in the 5th Military Region, specifically in the O’Phluok Damrey area of Pursat province.
According to the Ministry, at around 3:54 p.m., Thai forces deployed additional F-16 fighter jets and dropped three bombs in the area.
Facing continued Thai aggressive operations, Cambodian forces “will continue to stand strong, brave, and steadfast in their fight against the aggressors, remaining vigilant in fulfilling their duty to protect Cambodia’s territorial integrity,” the Ministry underlined.
“We will protect our dignity with courage and unwavering resolve, at any cost, without succumbing to coercion or intimidation in any form,” it reaffirmed.
Thailand’s repeated violations of Cambodian territory contradict its claim of being a peace-loving nation. Spokeswoman of the Ministry of National Defence H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata emphasised that peace requires concrete actions, including full implementation of the Ceasefire Agreement and the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration signed on Oct. 26, 2025.
Speaking at a press briefing this afternoon, she urged Thai forces to cease encroaching on Cambodia’s sovereignty, halt attacks on civilian infrastructure, stop spreading false information, and end assaults on ancient and sacred temples, which she described as treasures belonging not only to Cambodia but to all humanity.
“The Thai military should show goodwill if they truly want peace,” she stressed.
Cambodia also called on the international community to condemn Thailand’s violations of international law and demand the withdrawal of Thai forces from Cambodian sovereign territory.
The spokeswoman noted that, despite committing repeated violations and attacks, the Thai military has refused to take responsibility and has instead issued accusations against Cambodia in an attempt to justify its aggression.
As of noon on Dec. 11, 2025, 11 civilians have been killed and 74 injured as a result of Thai military operations.
