Thai Aggression Pushes Number of Displaced Cambodian Civilians to Nearly 130,000

The number of civilians displaced by the Thai military’s ongoing aggression against Cambodia’s territory has risen to nearly 130,000, according to a new press release from the Ministry of National Defence.
As of noon today, a total of 127,133 people have sought refuge at safe centres.
According to the Ministry, approximately 33,787 displaced civilians are sheltering in Oddar Meanchey province, 21,639 in Preah Vihear province, 36,244 in Banteay Meanchey province, 3,221 in Pursat province, 405 in Battambang province, and 31,837 in Siem Reap province.
The displaced populations primarily originate from the provinces of Oddar Meanchey, Preah Vihear, and Banteay Meanchey.
The Ministry also confirmed seven civilian fatalities: three in Oddar Meanchey, three in Banteay Meanchey, and one in Preah Vihear.
