Cambodia Readies for Inaugural International Vattanac Legends Golf Championship

Cambodia is set to host its first-ever international-level professional golf tournament, the Vattanac Legends Championship, scheduled to tee off on Nov. 19, 2025, the Ministry of Tourism announced today.
The upcoming championship marks a significant milestone in Cambodia's sporting history and its growing sports-tourism sector.
Tourism Minister H.E. Huot Hak and Neak Oknha Sam Ang Vattanac, Governor and CEO of Vattanac Golf Resort, convened a working meeting to finalise preparations for the tournament on Nov. 13.
The event is poised to attract 60 professional golfers from 16 countries, showcasing a truly global field.
Participating nations span four continents and include Argentina, France, Sweden, Spain, The Netherlands, Ireland, Scotland, India, New Zealand, Brazil, Austria, England, Germany, South Africa, Northern Ireland, and Italy.
During the meeting, Minister Huot Hak extended high praise for the continuous support provided by Neak Oknha Sam Ang Vattanac and the Vattanac Group. He acknowledged their extensive, long-standing cooperation with the Ministry across various tourism events, exhibitions, and promotional initiatives.
"Their crucial contribution has been instrumental in strengthening Cambodia’s tourism sector and elevating the country’s international reputation," the Minister stated.
The Minister underscored that successfully hosting a world-class sporting event of this caliber will showcase Cambodia as a safe, capable, and highly attractive destination for major international competitions.
Minister Huot Hak reaffirmed the Ministry of Tourism’s full organisational and promotional support for the Vattanac Legends Championship, expressing confidence in the successful execution of the landmark event.
The tournament is widely anticipated to become a cornerstone sports-tourism fixture for Cambodia.
