AKP Phnom Penh, September 26, 2025 --

The Regional Border Committee (RBC) meeting between Cambodia’s Military Region 4 and Thailand’s Army Region 2, previously scheduled to be held from Sept. 28 to 30, has been postponed to October. 

The postponement was announced this evening by the Ministry of National Defence of Cambodia, after receiving a notice from the Thai side.

This delay is due to restructuring and leadership changes within the Army Region, according to the Thai side.

“Cambodia’s Military Region 4 will continue coordinating with the Thai side to promptly organise the meeting, enabling both parties to fully and effectively implement the ceasefire agreement, as well as to foster concrete cooperation to promote peace and stability between the two countries, and restore normalcy along the border,” the Ministry underlined.
