Cambodian Cabinet Meeting Endorsed Six Important Documents
AKP Phnom Penh, September 26, 2025 -- The weekly cabinet meeting, held this morning at the Peace Palace under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, reviewed and approved five draft laws and one draft report.
According to a press release from the Royal Government Spokesperson Unit issued this afternoon, the six documents include the draft law on the approval of the Agreement on the ASEAN Food Safety Regulatory Framework; the draft law on the approval of the Protocol to Amend the ASEAN Agreement on the Movement of Natural Persons; the draft law on the approval of the First Protocol to Amend the ASEAN-Hong Kong, China Free Trade Agreement; the draft law on Second Protocol to Amend the Agreement Establishing the ASEAN-Australia-New Zealand Free Trade Area, the draft law on the approval of the Convention Establishing the International Organisation for Mediation; and the preliminary draft report on Cambodia's implementation of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Of the approved documents, four are related to ASEAN and its dialogue partners, aiming to strengthen regional cooperation.
Meanwhile, the Convention Establishing the International Organisation for Mediation is designed to promote the peaceful settlement of disputes and provide mediation services. These encompass disputes between States, between a State and nationals of other States, as well as disputes between private parties engaged in international commercial relationships.
