AKP Phnom Penh, September 24, 2025 --
The second meeting between the Cambodian National Police and the Thai delegation, originally scheduled for Sept. 26, 2025, to review the draft action plan on cooperation in preventing and suppressing cross-border crimes, including cybercrime and human trafficking, has been postponed at the request of the Thai side.
No new date has yet been set for the meeting, H.E. Lt. Gen. Seang Thearith, Deputy Commissioner-General of the National Police and Head of the Cambodian delegation, confirmed this evening, adding that Cambodia is currently awaiting an official notification letter from Thailand.
According to the minutes of the first meeting held on Sept. 16, 2025, the two sides had agreed that Cambodia would host the second meeting to review the draft action plan.
The Cambodian side had already prepared the invitation, agenda, and venue. However, on Sept. 24, the Thai side informally notified the Royal Thai Police Attaché at the Embassy in Phnom Penh of its request to postpone the meeting.
H.E. Lt. Gen. Seang Thearith (L), Deputy Commissioner-General of the Cambodian National Police, signs the Agreed Minutes with Pol. Gen. Thatchai Pitaneelaboot, Senior Inspector-General of the Royal Thai Police, at the end of their first meeting.
