Nearly 670,000 foreign tourists visited the Angkor Archaeological Park, Cambodia’s most renowned cultural landmark, during the first eight months of this year, marking an increase of 2.72 percent compared to the same period in 2024, according to a report released by the Angkor Enterprise on Sept. 1.

Revenue from entrance pass sales reached US$31 million, a year-on-year growth of 2.42 percent, the report added.

In August alone, the source pointed out, the park welcomed 50,848 foreign visitors, generating US$2.42 million in revenue from ticket sales. Entrance passes are priced at US$37 for a one-day visit, US$62 for a three-day pass, and US$72 for a week-long visit.

Located in Siem Reap province, the 401-square-kilometre Angkor Archaeological Park houses 91 ancient temples dating from the 9th to 13th centuries.

Inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1992, Angkor remains Cambodia’s most popular tourist destination.

Further highlighting its global appeal, TripAdvisor recently named Angkor Wat Temple as the most-loved attraction in Asia in 2025, underscoring its status as an iconic and highly sought-after site. Angkor Wat, considered the largest religious monument in the world, continues to draw a steady flow of international visitors.
