The committee to lead the organisation of the joint congress of the Senate and the National Assembly of Cambodia has determined the key discussion agenda for the planned event.

Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen led a meeting to shape up the agenda items on May 13 at the Senate Palace, Phnom Penh.

According to a news release issued following the meeting, the overarching topics of great significance identified for the planned joint congress are social production systems, the informal economy, and agriculture.

The meeting also assigned the topics to the relevant teams of lawmakers of the two legislative bodies of Cambodia to study their details and draft reports and practical resolutions for the committee to review.

This is the preparatory stage for the joint congress of the Senate and the National Assembly scheduled for early next month.
