COVID-19: Nearly 50 Patients Recovered; 39 New Cases Detected
AKP Phnom Penh, March 11, 2021 --
Forty-eight (48) patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus (COVID-19); the total number of cured cases in Cambodia stood at 597 with zero death recorded.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning, the newly recovered patients are those infected from the Feb. 20 Community Event. Aged between 21 and 49 years old, the new cured cases are mostly Chinese nationals in Phnom Penh capital and Preah Sihanouk province.
They all have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.
Meanwhile, the ministry reported 39 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 aged from 18 to 77 years old. They are all linked to the Feb. 20 incident. They include 28 Cambodians, 7 Chinese, 3 Vietnamese, and a Korean in Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Preah Sihanouk, Kandal, Prey Veng and Battambang.
Cambodia’s tally now rose to 1,163, of which 652 are locally-transmitted cases from the Feb. 20 Community Event, the current cluster infections in Cambodia.
