COVID-19: 64 Locally-transmitted Cases Detected; Tally 1,124
AKP Phnom Penh, March 10, 2021 --
Sixty-four (64) new cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported; the tally increased to 1,124, of which 613 are related to the Feb. 20 Community Event, the current cluster infections in Cambodia.
According to a press release of the Ministry of Health issued this morning, the new patients are all locally-transmitted cases aged between 10 and 65 years old. They include 39 Cambodians, 23 Chinese, and 2 Vietnamese in Phnom Penh capital and the provinces of Preah Sihanouk, Kandal, Prey Veng and Siem Reap.
At the same time, 11 COVID-19 patients – 8 Chinese, 2 Vietnamese, and a Cambodian related to the Feb. 20 incident – have been successfully recovered. They all have been allowed to be discharged after being tested negative twice consecutively.
The total recovered cases in the Kingdom therefore rose to 549 with no fatal case.
