Vocational Institutions in Some Provinces Suspended
AKP Phnom Penh, March 09, 2021 --
The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training has announced temporary closure of vocational institutions in the provinces of Prey Veng, Kampong Cham, and Koh Kong.
The announcement was shared today by the ministry justifying that the move means to prevent large-scale community transmission of COVID-19.
The concerned vocational institutions must adopt online teaching and learning practices during this period, it underlined.
Earlier, the ministry has also ordered the temporary shutdown of vocational institutions in Phnom Penh capital, Kandal province, and Sihanoukville and Stung Hav district of Preah Sihanouk province.
Threat of COVID-19 is recurring in Cambodia following the outbreak of community transmission called Feb. 20 Community Event.
As of this afternoon, the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cambodia rose to 1,060, of which 538 have successfully recovered with no fatal cases.
