Two new imported cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) were reported in Cambodia; the tally rose to 476, according to a press release of the Ministry of Health made public this morning.

The new patients are a 19-year-old Cambodian woman from the U.S. and a 26-year-old Chinese woman from China. They arrived in Cambodia on Feb. 7 via South Korea. They have been admitted to the Chak Angre Health Centre and National Centre for Combatting Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control in Phnom Penh, respectively.

The other 90 passengers on the same flight with negative test results have been put in 14-day quarantine.

The 476 confirmed cases include 343 Cambodians, 45 French, 19 Chinese, 16 Indonesians, 13 Malaysians, 12 Americans, 6 British, 5 Indians, 3 Vietnamese, 3 Canadians, 2 Hungarians, 2 Pakistanis, 2 Japanese, 1 Belgian, 1 Kazakhstani, 1 Polish, 1 Jordanian, and 1 Nigerian.

At the same time, a COVID-19 patient has recovered. He is Indonesian who arrived in Cambodia on Jan. 12 from Indonesia via Singapore. He has been allowed to be discharged from the National Centre for Combatting Tuberculosis and Leprosy Control after being tested negative twice consecutively.

The total cured cases in the Kingdom thus rose to 457 with no fatal case.
