The Ministry of Tourism has announced a change to the schedule of the “Green Season Tourism Event 2026”, which will now be held for three days from Aug. 7 to 9, at the Techo-Thipadei Square, opposite the Stung Treng Provincial Hall.
The event programme includes:

Aug. 8, 2026: Closing ceremony of the Green Season Tourism Event 2026

The event will be held under the presidency of H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, and H.E. Sor Soputra, Governor of Stung Treng province, as part of efforts to promote Cambodia’s tourism potential and attract more visitors to the northeastern region during the Green Season from May to October.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the event aims to showcase the tourism potential of Cambodia’s northeastern region, contribute to the local economy and tourism communities by creating employment and direct income opportunities, and support the “Visit Cambodia During Green Season 2026” campaign.
The initiative is also intended to contribute to the strategic direction of the Royal Government and the Ministry of Tourism to attract and distribute domestic and international tourists throughout the year and across different seasons.
A range of activities has been prepared for the three-day event, including an exhibition featuring food, community products, local dishes from the northeastern region, wild fruits, seasonal products and community-processed goods, as well as a discussion forum on “Ecotourism Potential in the Northeastern Region during Green Season 2026.”
