Cambodia Exports 15 million Tonnes of Agricultural Products to International Markets
AKP Phnom Penh, October 23, 2026 --
Cambodia exported 15 million tonnes of agricultural products to international markets in the first ten months of 2026, with both volume and quality improving, said a senior official at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
H.E. Ker Monthivuth, Director of the Department of Plant Protection, Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) under the General Directorate of Agriculture in Cambodia's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, made the remarks on Oct. 23 at the Cambodia Agriculture Forum and Exhibition 2026 (CAFE26), held at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Centre in Phnom Penh.
The event brought together agricultural experts, development partners and private-sector representatives to share experience, knowledge and new technologies to support the sector’s growth.
He said the Ministry’s priorities included improving scientific data and establishing production systems with stronger pest-risk management for key crops, including mangoes, bananas, durians and cashews.
The Royal Government has given priority to the agricultural sector, supporting sustainable agricultural development, protect consumer health and the environment, safeguard food security, and improve the competitiveness of Cambodia’s agricultural trade, both domestically and internationally.
He also called on farmers, traders and private-sector businesses to work together to strengthen production and management capacity and meet the standards required for exports to international markets.
