AKP Phnom Penh, September 11, 2026 -- Frontline police forces in Cambodia's northwestern Banteay Meanchey province have received a significant donation of supplies and funding from Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha, demonstrating the Ministry's ongoing commitment to local armed forces.

The handover ceremony this morning was led by Lt. Gen. Dr. Top Neth, Director General of the General Department of Identification, who represented the Deputy Prime Minister in delivering the provisions to the frontline police.

During the event, Brigadier Gen. Seum Sarith, Banteay Meanchey Provincial Police Commissioner, expressed deep gratitude to the Ministry of Interior leadership, particularly Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Abhisantibindit Sar Sokha and Gen. Dr. Top Neth. He noted that the Ministry consistently prioritises the welfare of border protection forces who work tirelessly day and night.

Addressing the forces from four border battalions and six city-district police inspectorates, Gen. Dr. Top Neth praised their sacrifices in safeguarding territorial integrity and maintaining public order.

He issued key directives, urging the forces to enhance border protection efficiency, maintain regular patrols to prevent cross-border crimes, prioritize personal health, strictly adhere to professional ethics, and remain committed to serving the nation with high responsibility.

The donated items included 5 million Riels (US$1,250) for the provincial police headquarters and 12 million Riels (US$3,000) for the four border battalions. In addition, the provisions comprised 10 tonnes of rice, 100 boxes of instant noodles, 100 cases of fish sauce, 100 cases of soy sauce, 200 boxes of drinking water, 200 boxes of snacks, 50 boxes of Cambodia Energy Drink, and 50 cases of Dazz Zero Sugar Cans. Operational and safety equipment included 20,000 bags and 10 sets of solar power systems with batteries for use at frontline targets.

The event underscores the Ministry of Interior's strong commitment to the welfare of Cambodia's border protection forces.
