Cambodian NA President Extends Condolences to Pakistan over Devastating Flash Flood
AKP Phnom Penh, August 29, 2026 -- Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, has sent a condolence message to H.E. Narayan Prasad Dahal, Chairperson of the National Assembly Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, over the recent devastating flash flood and landslide.
In the message dated Aug. 28, Samdech Khuon Sudary said he was deeply grieved by the news about the devastating natural disasters of the recent flash flood and landslide along the Himalayan border between Nepal and China, which have caused tragic loss of lives, many injured and missing, the displacement of thousands of families, as well as enormous devastation of properties.
“On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I wish to express my heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Honourable Chairperson, and through you, to the bereaved families for the loss of their loved ones and the victims of these disasters,” she added.
While standing in solidarity with the people of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal and government during this difficult time, Samdech Khuon Sudary wished all the affected communities a swift recovery and resumption of normal life.
