Cambodian Senior Official Joins Medical Mission as 175 Villagers Receive Free Treatment in Svay Rieng
AKP Phnom Penh, August 18, 2026 --
Samdech Kittisangahapundit Men Sam An, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King of Cambodia, met with residents and the Bai Shui Lao Ren volunteer medical team on Tuesday in Kampong Ro district, Svay Rieng province, where 175 local villagers received free medical treatment.
The humanitarian medical mission, led by Mr. Shi Yizhong, has been operating across the Kingdom of Cambodia for 24 years, dedicated to improving the health of Cambodians. For this two-day outreach, a 135-member joint medical team comprising professionals from China, Malaysia, Taiwan (China), and Cambodia is providing services, with today’s session in Kampong Ro district and a second session scheduled for Wednesday in Romeas Hek district, Svay Rieng.
Praising the ongoing development under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Samdech Men Sam An thanked the medical group for their unwavering commitment, financial resources, and humanitarian spirit, noting their contributions during the COVID-19 pandemic as well. In addition to free consultations, each patient received 10 kg of rice, and a personal cash grant of 30,000 Riel (US$ 7.5) from Samdech Men Sam An.
She also urged the public to maintain strict hygiene, consume safe food and boiled water, and strictly follow medical prescriptions to ensure effective recovery.
