The delegation met with Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia; H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia; and H.E. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Cambodia. The delegation also held the “Greater Bay Area Momentum · New Opportunities Across the Seas - China-Cambodia Investment and Trade Cooperation Summit” and visited Canadia Group, Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.

The visit focused on emerging industries including artificial intelligence, green energy and healthcare, while leveraging Cambodia's improving business environment, developing infrastructure and enhanced public security. It aimed to establish long-term channels for government-business engagement. The two sides agreed to advance cooperation across multiple sectors and accelerate the implementation of 10 key projects, while connecting industrial parks, logistics and legal resources to build a one-stop service chain for enterprises expanding overseas. These efforts will promote deeper integration between Greater Bay Area industries and technologies and the Cambodian market, further deepening practical China-Cambodia economic and trade cooperation.

I. 7th, August 2026, officially visit Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia

On the afternoon of August 7, 2026, Dr. Jonathan K.S. Choi, Standing Committee Member of National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (NCCPPCC) of the P.R.C, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (CGCC), Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance (GBA Alliance), led the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area business delegation in a meeting with Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, and 15 senior government officials from various ministries. The two sides held in-depth discussions on Cambodia's new economy and China-Cambodia industrial cooperation.

Dr. Choi said that, returning to Cambodia with a Greater Bay Area business delegation after two years, he could clearly feel that Cambodia is entering a new stage of transformation and upgrading. In particular, the opening of Techo International Airport, with its efficient immigration and customs procedures, together with continued infrastructure improvements, has further enhanced Cambodia's national image and international investor confidence.

He noted that the delegation is focusing on emerging and livelihood-oriented projects, including an Artificial Intelligence Center, Sunwah Innovation Center, healthcare and wellness initiatives, a home furnishing and building materials exhibition and trading center, and electric tuk-tuks. Cambodia is gradually expanding from traditional labor-intensive industries toward new economy sectors. The government's openness, flexibility and strong commitment to attracting investment are creating favorable conditions for Chinese entrepreneurs to invest and establish businesses in Cambodia.

He emphasized that reliable energy supply and sound legal and regulatory systems are critical foundations for the implementation of new economy projects. Artificial intelligence and technology projects require stable electricity and digital infrastructure. With the development of the digital economy, there is also a need to further strengthen data security and compliant data flows, while exploring more flexible regulatory pilot mechanisms in selected emerging sectors. For advanced healthcare solutions such as stem cells, cell therapies and innovative medicines, clearer regulatory and supervisory frameworks are needed to create favorable conditions for the implementation of innovative healthcare projects.

Dr. Choi specifically noted that during his meeting with H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, the two sides had discussed key projects and agreed to work toward the implementation of a KPI covering 10 projects, as requested by the Deputy Prime Minister. Through the meeting with Prime Minister Hun Manet, he expressed the hope of further advancing these projects and accelerating Sunwah Group's industrial development and investment presence in Cambodia.

Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his support for the development directions of the above-mentioned projects and, during the meeting, endorsed Sunwah Group's efforts to advance a series of projects in Cambodia. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of China to Cambodia. The two sides held in-depth discussions on the longstanding traditional friendship between China and Cambodia, bilateral economic and trade cooperation, and investment by Chinese enterprises in Cambodia.

Neak Oknha Pung Kheav Se delivered the welcome remarks, noting that Dr. Choi has been a close friend for more than 30 years. On the morning of August 8, 2026, Dr. Jonathan K.S. Choi, Standing Committee Member of National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (NCCPPCC) of the P.R.C, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (CGCC), Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance (GBA Alliance), led the delegation on a visit to Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone for an exchange and study tour. The delegation visited the SSEZ development exhibition, learned about the zone's development, and held discussions with Mr. Yicheng Bao, General Manager of Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, and Ms. Huanhua Huang, Executive Deputy General Manager.

At the SSEZ development exhibition, Ms. Huang Huanhua introduced the zone's development history, current construction status and future plans. SSEZ is a key cooperation project between China and Cambodia and has, over the years, adhered to the principle of “win-win cooperation for all parties,” continuously serving as a platform for industrial and cultural exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Mr. Yicheng Bao welcomed the delegation and reviewed SSEZ's 18-year development journey. Dr. Choi spoke highly of the achievements of SSEZ. VII. 8th, August 2026, visited and held a meeting with Sihanoukville Autonomous Port

On the morning of August 8, 2026, Dr. Jonathan K.S. Choi, Standing Committee Member of National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (NCCPPCC) of the P.R.C, Chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong (CGCC), Chairman of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance (GBA Alliance), led the delegation on a site visit to Sihanoukville Autonomous Port and held a dedicated discussion with H.E. Lou Kim Chhun, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer of Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.

At the beginning of the meeting, H.E. Lou Kim Chhun warmly welcomed the delegation and recalled the longstanding traditional friendship between China and Cambodia. He provided a comprehensive overview of Sihanoukville Autonomous Port's development history, current scale and medium- and long-term development vision. He noted that the port will benchmark itself against leading international standards and strive to develop into a professional and international integrated logistics hub.

Dr. Choi shared his view that Cambodia has completed its special campaign against telecommunications and online fraud, resulting in a significant improvement in the country's public security environment. To support the port's digital and modern transformation, Dr. Choi introduced AI-powered autonomous container-truck companies Westwell Holdings and TITAN Technology to the port operator, facilitating discussions between the port and technology enterprises and exploring opportunities for the implementation of smart terminal solutions.

Following the meeting, the port arranged a dedicated site visit for the delegation to the terminal operations area. The delegation observed the full process of cargo loading, unloading and transfer at close range, gaining a firsthand understanding of the port's daily operating model and supporting infrastructure.
