Cambodia received 1.75 million international tourists in the first half of 2026, according to the Ministry of Tourism's latest report released on July 24.

Chinese tourists remained the Kingdom's largest source market, with 452,263 arrivals accounting for 25 percent of total international visitors between January and June.

The Ministry also reported steady arrivals from key regional and long-haul markets, including Vietnam, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Indonesia, Australia, Japan, and South Korea.

About 62 percent of foreign visitors entered Cambodia by air, while the remainder arrived via land border checkpoints and waterways.

Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak described tourism as a key driver of Cambodia's economy, often referred to as the country's "green gold," and reaffirmed that the Kingdom remains open, safe, and increasingly accessible through improved infrastructure and expanded regional air connectivity.

The Ministry has also intensified promotion of the "Green Season" campaign to encourage travel during the traditional low season by showcasing Cambodia's lush natural landscapes, ecotourism attractions, and rich cultural heritage.

The report added that 536,488 Cambodian citizens travelled abroad during the first six months of 2026.
