Nearly US$100 Million in Investment Projects under CDC Review
AKP Phnom Penh, July 23, 2026 --
Nine proposed investment projects worth nearly US$95 million in the manufacturing, agro-industry and mining sectors are under review by the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB).
The projects were discussed at the 7th One Stop Service Meeting of 2026, held on July 22 by the CIB of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) to examine applications for Qualified Investment Project (QIP) registration.
The meeting was chaired by CIB Secretary General H.E. Chea Vuthy and attended by representatives from relevant ministries, institutions and provincial administrations.
If approved, the projects are expected to create approximately 3,500 jobs while strengthening Cambodia’s manufacturing and agro-processing industries.
The proposed investments include two agro-industrial projects – a rubber processing plant and a cassava processing factory – and seven industrial projects. These comprise factories producing forklifts, electrical lighting equipment, noodles and noodle ingredients, plastic accessories for the garment, footwear, bag, furniture and pet product industries, as well as a salt processing plant and a gold mining project with a mineral processing facility.
The projects are planned for Phnom Penh and the provinces of Takeo, Kampong Speu, Thbong Khmum and Kratie.
The One Stop Service Meeting is part of the CDC’s streamlined investment approval mechanism, bringing together all relevant agencies to review applications through a single coordinated process, helping accelerate approvals and improve the ease of doing business in Cambodia.
