Information Minister Meets Cambodian Cyclist Returning from Global Charity Ride
AKP Phnom Penh, July 22, 2026 --
Minister of Information H.E. Neth Pheaktra met on Tuesday afternoon with independent Cambodian adventure cyclist Mr. Tiv Dararith to commend his successful completion of a two-year solo global expedition to raise funds for children's healthcare in Cambodia.
The courtesy meeting took place at the Ministry of Information headquarters in Phnom Penh.
Under his campaign titled "Cycling Around the World for Cambodian Children," Mr. Dararith covered 60,000 kilometres across 40 countries over the course of two years. His humanitarian journey successfully raised a total of US$260,243.57.
The raised funds will be donated to Angkor Hospital for Children and the Kantha Bopha Cambodia Foundation to support free medical treatment, consultations, and healthcare services for Cambodian children.
During the meeting, H.E. Neth Pheaktra praised Dararith's selflessness and commitment to social welfare, particularly his efforts to improve children's health, and encouraged him to continue pursuing future initiatives for the cause.
