MOWRAM, CDRI Strengthen Research and Development Cooperation
AKP Phnom Penh, July 20, 2026 --
The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) and the Cambodia Development Resource Institute (CDRI) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening and expanding cooperation on research and development in the water resources sector.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by H.E. Serei Bandit, Undersecretary of State at MOWRAM, and H.E. Dr. Eng Netra, Executive Director of CDRI, under the presidency of H.E. Dr. An Pich Hatda, MOWRAM’s Secretary of State, in Phnom Penh on July 20.
Speaking at the event, the Secretary of State highlighted that this signing establishes a long-term cooperation framework aimed at bridging scientific research with public policy formulation and implementation in the water resources sector for greater efficiency.
This partnership will focus on five key areas: joint research, policy dialogue forums, information and knowledge exchange, capacity building, and knowledge development to support water resources management, river basin management, climate resilience enhancement, and flood and drought risk management.
