AKP Phnom Penh, July 18, 2026 --
Legendary Entertainment and Culture Group Ltd. plans to officially launch its flagship "Immersive Angkor" project, Cambodia's first technology-enabled immersive 3D museum, in Siem Reap by late 2026 or early 2027.
The announcement was made during a courtesy meeting between Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and Ms. Anne Zhao, Chief Executive Officer of Legendary Entertainment and Culture Group Ltd., on Friday afternoon, on the sidelines of the Prime Minister's working visit to China and his participation in the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference, held from July 15 to 17.
During the meeting, Ms. Zhao briefed Samdech Thipadei on the company's operations, describing Legendary Entertainment and Culture Group Ltd. as a leading integrated tourism and entertainment platform in Asia, specialising in the development, management, and operation of premium cultural assets, live performances, and immersive attractions.
She said the company has three core business areas: operating theme parks and live entertainment venues across Asia through a partnership with French theme park operator Puy du Fou; developing and operating technology-enabled immersive 3D museums; and providing food, beverage, and hospitality services.
Ms. Zhao also updated the Prime Minister on the progress of the "Immersive Angkor" project in Siem Reap, describing it as the company's flagship investment in Cambodia. The project will feature the country's first technology-enabled immersive 3D museum showcasing Cambodia's rich cultural heritage and is scheduled to officially open by the end of 2026 or in early 2027.
In addition, she outlined the company's plans to invest in more projects in Cambodia to support the development of the tourism sector, attract more international visitors, and promote the Kingdom's rich culture and civilisation to the global audience.
In response, Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the company's decision to invest in Cambodia and commended its contribution to the development and promotion of the country's tourism industry, as well as efforts to showcase Cambodia's rich cultural heritage and civilisation.
The Prime Minister noted that, alongside initiatives to promote Cambodia's culture and civilisation internationally, the Royal Government has tasked the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts with developing more tourism activities, including temple visits and nighttime tourism attractions, to enhance Cambodia's appeal to international visitors.
Before concluding the meeting, Samdech Thipadei encouraged the company to continue exploring additional investment opportunities in Cambodia and to maintain close cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions to ensure the smooth and successful implementation of its projects.
