Cambodia, Singapore Vow to Boost Diplomatic Ties and Strategic Cooperation
AKP Phnom Penh, July 16, 2026 -- Senior officials from Cambodia and Singapore met on Thursday, pledging to further elevate diplomatic ties and expand bilateral cooperation across key sectors of mutual interest.
H.E. kittisethabindit Cham Prasidh, Member of the Supreme Privy Council to His Majesty the King, Member of the National Assembly, and Special Envoy of the Royal Government of Cambodia, held talks with Singaporean Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Steven Pang at the National Assembly Palace in Phnom Penh.
According to officials, the primary objective of the meeting was to reinforce and deepen the long-standing partnership between the two Southeast Asian nations.
During the discussions, both sides expressed a shared commitment to fostering closer diplomatic relations and accelerating exchanges in high-potential sectors to deliver tangible benefits for both nations.
Cambodia and Singapore maintain robust bilateral ties and collaborate closely within the framework of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Leaders from both countries have consistently reaffirmed their dedication to sustaining this momentum.
Key areas of ongoing and future cooperation highlighted during the meeting include economy, trade, education, healthcare, agricultural investment, food processing, and human resource development in the medical field.
